President laid wreath at Memorial of Unknown Soldier in connection with Victory Day

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili laid a wreath at the Memorial of Unknown Soldier in connection with May 9, Victory Day over Fascism.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the end of the World War II and 70th anniversary after born of the idea to establish the European Union, President released an address.

President congratulated WWII veterans on Victory Day and underlined that it was after the war when a new format of peace, cooperation for welfare and solidarity was established in Europe – European Union.

President of Georgia arrived at the Memorial of Unknown Soldier in Vake Park together with Gela Giorgadze, Advisor in Defense and Security Affairs.
