Carriages to be added to Baku-Tbilisi-Baku trains starting July 10

Three carriages will be added to Baku-Tbilisi-Baku trains starting July 10.

According to Azerbaijan Railways, an additional 104 seats will be available on each route, while the number of passenger seats will increase by approximately 60 per cent, from 178 to 282.

The tickets are on sale. Compared to the Stadler-type carriages, the free baggage allowance for the “Standard+” sleeping cars added to the route has been set at 36 kg, taking into account the technical specifications and structural capabilities of these carriages.

Approximately 25,000 tickets were sold for the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route between May 25 and July 6. Of these, 6,356 people travelled by train from Tbilisi, 4,343 from Baku, 1,112 from Ganja, 808 from Yevlakh, and 520 from Aghstafa and other stations.
