President Kavelashvili: Strong family contributes to formation of national, Christian values

“Strong family shapes the solid foundation for spiritual strength where we learn first lessons on love to God, humanity, warmth, compassion and mutual respect,” wrote President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Facebook.

Mikheil Kavelashvili congratulated the Georgian people on Family Purity Day.

“Strong family shapes the solid foundation for spiritual strength where we learn first lessons on love to God, humanity, warmth, compassion and mutual respect. It is the family where national and Christian values are formed – loyalty to the motherland, responsibility and fairness. Family is the place where generations are brought up who are in charge to build the country,” he said.

Since 2024, the Government of Georgia has declared May 17 a public holiday to honour the Day of Family Purity and Respect for Parents.
