President Kavelashvili: Georgia’s peace policy is to live in unity with Ossetian and Abkhazian brothers and sisters

“Our declared peace policy is to live together with Ossetian and Abkhazian brothers and sisters in a united Georgia,” stated Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili during the programme “Actual Topic with Maka Tsintsadze” on GPB First Channel.

Kavelashvili expressed hope that, sooner or later, this vision will become a reality and Georgia will be united.

“Today, our territories are occupied, but we are in a different reality; we are an independent, sovereign country. Our Ossetian and Abkhazian brothers and sisters live within these regions, on which we remain committed. Our peace policy, both internationally and towards our fellow citizens, is sincere and open-hearted: we want to live with them in a united Georgia. We will do everything in our power to ensure this process takes place. I believe our actions demonstrate this. Of course, we share a common history and have been coming together for many years. I sincerely hope that, sooner or later, this will come to pass; Georgia will be united,” Kavelashvili affirmed.
