President Kavelashvili: Georgia remains committed to contributing to regional peace and stability
“I would like to emphasise that the peace agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8 represents a significant step forward in securing sustainable peace and a stable environment, which we naturally welcome. This historic accord paves the way for new prospects and the long-term development of the South Caucasus,” stated the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, during a joint press conference with the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.
According to President Kavelashvili, Georgia remains fully committed to playing its part in strengthening peace and stability across the region.
“Georgia continues to stand ready to contribute to regional peace and stability, which can only yield positive results in the long run. I am confident that our cooperation, friendship, and partnership will persist in the spirit of the exemplary relations established between our countries,” he said.
Mikheil Kavelashvili also expressed his gratitude to his Armenian colleague for his official visit to Georgia.
