President Kavelashvili conveys Georgian people's message to U.S. Secretary of Commerce

President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard William Lutnick during a dinner hosted on behalf of President Donald Trump.

As President Kavelashvili shared on Facebook, he conveyed to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce a message from the Georgian people, expressing concern over the silence of the current administration regarding Georgia, which has raised questions within society.

“Our conversation was cordial. I relayed to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce a message from the Georgian people: that the current administration’s silence on Georgia has sparked questions among our citizens, especially at a time when our government and Donald Trump’s administration share common values on fundamental issues. Howard Lutnick assured me that he would pass my viewpoints to members of the administration,” he stated.

President Mikheil Kavelashvili is currently participating in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
