President Kavelashvili awards Order of Excellence to Professor Konstantine Mardaleishvili

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, has awarded the Order of Excellence, a state honour of Georgia, to Professor Konstantine Mardaleishvili, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Director of the Oncology Scientific Research Centre LLC, upon the nomination of Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Presidential Administration, the state honour was bestowed upon Konstantine Mardaleishvili for his contributions to the development of oncological surgery and medicine in Georgia, his outstanding achievements in the field of science, and his exceptional service to Georgia.

The President of Georgia stated that Konstantine Mardaleishvili is an exceptional physician whose contribution is particularly noteworthy and commendable.

“I congratulate Mr Kote on this prestigious award, the Order of Excellence. He is an exceptional doctor, a representative of the medical field, a person of particular importance to all of Georgia, who has established modern capabilities in oncology, thereby saving the lives of many of our fellow citizens. His contribution and his work are extraordinary. Extraordinary, too, is the people’s love for him, and he truly is a person to be emulated by all, not only in the medical field. I am delighted to have presented him with this award today,” Kavelashvili declared.

The ceremony held at the Presidential Palace was attended by Mikheil Sarjveladze, Minister for Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, his deputy, Tea Giorgadze, and a member of Konstantine Mardaleishvili’s family.
