The President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with members of the European Youth Parliament and discussed tolerance, Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Russian-Georgian relations, and occupation of Georgia.
President Margvelashvili has talked through importance of the International Day for Tolerance and noted that Georgians have always been proud of their past and history that is jointly made by people of diverse nationalities and religions.
“The International Day for Tolerance is extremely significant for building a contemporary and powerful society. It is important people to put efforts in protecting rights and freedoms of others. No matter what we do, we should always remember that our main task and aim is to defend freedoms of others. You cannot be free unless you protect other people’s freedoms; the freedoms of those people that are around you and with whom you coexist, – President said.
