President: Georgia is independent nation able to unite with its Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers
“Today, Georgia is an independent, free country. We see the chaos around us and the importance of peace,” stated Georgia’s President Mikheil Kavelashvili during his speech at the annual horse race Bakhmaro Cup 2025 in Guria.
The President emphasised that now is the time to seek unity with “our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers and sisters.”
“Today, Georgia is an independent, sovereign, and proud nation. We have the opportunity to grow stronger and, most importantly, to unite with our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers and sisters. The key is unity, to love each other as they love here in Guria. We must believe and have faith that Georgians can always build a strong country. Faith in our homeland, language, identity, and culture is the foundation of freedom. No price is too high to protect this treasure. May God bless Guria and Georgia as a whole,” Kavelashvili concluded.
