Police seize significant quantities of drugs in Kvemo Kartli; two men arrested

Officers from the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have arrested two people, identified as B.N., born in 1982, and Z.J., born in 1979, in Gardabani and Tetritskaro, respectively, on separate occasions, on suspicion of purchasing and storing large quantities of illegal substances.

Law enforcement officials recovered narcotics as evidence following searches of the suspects’ private, residential, and auxiliary premises, uncovering substances including methadone, cannabis, and marijuana.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 260, Part 3, Subparagraph ‘a’ of the Criminal Code, which stipulates potential imprisonment for up to 20 years.
