Police report releasing two of four individuals detained during yesterday’s rally based on recognizance

Police detained four individuals on administrative offence charges at the rally held near the Parliament last night.

According to the Ministry of Interior, two of those detainees were released on recognizance, including Levan Gogichaishvili, the Gakharia for Georgia party member.

Confrontations occurred on Rustaveli Avenue in front of the Parliament, leading to the arrest of several rally participants, including Gogichaishvili.

The patrol police stated that these individuals did not comply with a lawful request from the police. They reported that the rally attendees attempted to artificially block the road.
