Police in Tbilisi seize large quantities of methadone and arrest Ukrainian national
Police in Tbilisi have apprehended a Ukrainian national, identified as K.P., born in 1996, on suspicion of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage, and distribution of significant quantities of narcotics.
During a personal search, law enforcement officers recovered methadone from the detainee, along with an electric scale and materials used for packaging drugs, during a search of his residence.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-quarta of the Criminal Code, which stipulate penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment.
