Police checkpoints set up in 3 villages of Shida Kartli to prevent Covid-19
Police checkpoints were set up in Igoeti, Samtavisi and Kvemo Chala villages of the Shida Kartli to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The Interagency Coordination Council decided on Friday.
Locals will undergo thermal screening and testing when entering or exiting these three villages. No restriction on movement or lockdown is imposed in the Kaspi Municipality of the region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) called on the locals to obey the regulations.
Mass testing has been launched in the Lanchkhuti Municipality of the Guria region due to the increased daily coronavirus cases.
Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia reported that large-scale lockdown would not be introduced in the country. The imposed measures aim to stop the increase of Covid-19 cases locally.
