Police arrest two individuals on drug charges and seize large quantities of various substances
Officers from the Central Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have apprehended two people, identified as D.B., born in 1978, and G.G., born in 1996, both of whom have previous convictions for drug-related offences and are currently serving suspended sentences, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 260-Quarter, 265-Prima, and 273 of the Criminal Code, which prescribe penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment.
Following a search of the suspects’ residences, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated a substantial quantity of various narcotics, including cocaine, dried cannabis, and plant cannabis.
Additionally, the authorities seized materials necessary for packaging the narcotics during the investigation, the MIA reported in a statement.
