Police arrest driver who crashed into Patriarchate grounds

The driver responsible for the recent crash into the Patriarchate grounds has been taken into custody. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the arrest to GPB First Channel.

According to officials, the investigation is ongoing under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the damage or destruction of property.
Law enforcement officers are currently at the scene of the incident.

Today, a vehicle slammed into the yard of the Patriarchate of Georgia. The collision destroyed the gate and tore off a barrier. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

It is reported that the driver of the vehicle directed offensive language towards the Patriarchate and the Patriarch himself.
