Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze responded to the opposition’s criticism and questions about the TBC Bank in the parliament within the framework of interpellation rule format this afternoon.

The Prime Minister said that the opposition was trying to link everything happening in Georgia or globally to Bidzina Ivanishvili, Chairman of Georgian Dream Party. According to the Prime Minister, what happened against the Cartu Bank in 2012 was an orchestrated attack.

“How many times I had a desire to talk to you about today’s problems and the measures to be taken in the future, but you always try to take us back to the past. The first thing I want to mention is the orchestrated attack carried out against Cartu Bank in 2012, when you changed the law in one day.

Secondly, I understand that you always try to link everything happening in Georgia or globally to Bidzina Ivanishvili. If there were a tsunami in the Pacific Ocean, you would blame Bidzina Ivanishvili for that. Why? Because this person managed to dismantle your violent system in 2012, while you have not been able to change your goal or focus. This is a problem,” Bakhtadze said.
