PM: We should return Georgia's territory by peaceful, rational, pragmatic policy

“Our main challenge is ending the occupation. We should retake our territories by peaceful, rational and pragmatic policy,” said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Mukhatgverdi Brothers Cemetery, commemorating heroes who died in the 2008 Russia-Georgia war.

According to the PM, peace has no alternative.

“The fact that Russia is occupant and aggressor was known for a long time, and the entire world knows it. I would stress again that we have the right, peaceful policy that should lead to the country’s de-occupation and unification. With peaceful, rational and pragmatic policy, we should regain our territories. I strongly believe in that. We are approaching this goal every day,” he said.

Fifteen years have passed since the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war. Georgia commemorates heroes who died in the fight for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
