“Today’s Georgia is not the Ukraine of 2013. It is a state with strong institutions and law enforcement agencies. The scenario of Ukraine, which destroyed Ukraine in 2013, is doomed to failure in Georgia,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in the Imedi Live program.
According to the PM, the opposition has no chance to escalate the situation.
“The 500-member violent resource is neutralized and when there is no violent resource, people do not come out for rallies. In this case, there is no chance to escalate the situation. I expect that since the opposition has no other way, they will prefer to take up their seats in the parliament. I presume that we will see the full parliament hall in February. Otherwise, they will commit political suicide. Let us see how processes develop,” he said.
Irakli Kobakhidze said society should know that none of the representatives of the four political unions, make decisions independently.
“They have zero independence and this serves as one of the reasons why they are in a constant self-destruction regime. Each time they fulfil orders and that is why in most cases, they are in self-destruction mode. In a hundred percent, their every step is dictated not to speak about their acting against national interests. The only thing they follow is foreign instructions,” he said.
