PM says government committed to creating a motivated environment for police to build a safe state

“Today, I want to thank firefighter-rescuers, who enjoy high trust and respect in society,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressing a solemn activity on the occasion of Police Day observed on May 31 in Georgia.

According to the PM, police officers are risking their lives to protect the security of citizens.

“The Georgian government constantly cares about strengthening the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to provide it with modern technologies and improve the social conditions of its employees. We aim to create an environment where each police officer will feel safe, motivated and valued.

Together, we will build a safer and fairer state where the supremacy of law and the prosperity of citizens will be the foremost value.

Along with our citizens, we are proud of you, the Georgian police and we are proud of each hero police officer. I am confident that you will keep up the high standards and will continue being a reliable foundation of our country’s security and justice.

Congratulations on the Police Day! I wish you peace, health and success in your honorary endeavours,” the PM said.
