Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Monday the nation’s peace initiative “yielded concrete outcomes” by resulting in an agreement with our Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues. “Georgia provided important mediation.”
The Prime Minister noted that the government maintains “close amicable connections” with its regional partners, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey.
“Of course, we are interested in long-term peace and stability in the region. Georgia contributes significantly to accomplishing this aim.
I’d like to say that the Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia were in Georgia not long ago. We held a joint meeting, which set a really interesting precedent,” the PM remarked.
