PM says explosives apparently destined for Tbilisi; concerned to see Ukraine's such dismissive attitude
“When it emerges from the case materials at this stage that the final destination of the explosive substance was to have been one of Tbilisi’s districts, it further strengthens questions regarding this case and the intention behind it,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the smuggling of explosive material from Ukraine into Georgia.
According to Kobakhidze, the security services must investigate the remaining details.
“It’s extremely alarming when Ukraine’s authorities display such a dismissive attitude towards our state. This is utterly disturbing. The State Security Service must investigate the remaining details. When a specific figure in the case, the arrested individual, directly declares they had received instructions from Ukraine’s security service, and when it emerges from the case materials at this stage that the final destination of this substance was to have been one of Tbilisi’s districts, this further strengthens questions regarding this case and the intention behind it. The security services must probe into the rest,” Kobakhidze declared.
