PM released statement on adoption of final edition of Constitution

“Since today the country has a perfect constitution that, on the one hand, will ensure stability and pluralism, and on the other hand, will eliminate the concentration of excessive power in the hands of one particular group, therefore, autocracy will be excluded,” – Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said in his statement released in connection with the adoption of final edition of the constitution by the Parliament today.

As stated in the statement, the final edition of the constitution guarantees democratic development of Georgia.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked everyone who contributed to the successful completion of this process.

“I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of this process – the Constitutional Commission, the Speaker of the Parliament, the experts, the society, our people, everyone who participated in the public discussions”, – the statement of Prime Minister reads.

Parliament of Georgia has approved amendments to Constitution with 115 votes today.
