PM ready to engage in open debates on education with anyone, including self-proclaimed experts

“I am ready to debate with everyone on any subject, including education,” stated Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, during an interview on Imedi’s Kvira.

According to Kobakhidze, this is precisely the format he envisions for debates that could unfold within the media sphere.

“If we consider the education reform, I would be more than happy to debate specifically with those who call themselves experts. Some may genuinely be experts in my view; others may not. But I am prepared to meet with everyone and debate any topic, including education. I invite those who, for example, sharply criticise this reform on social media, in the media, or elsewhere, even if their criticism is unfounded, to come forward. I am open to discussions with such individuals.

This is exactly how I envisage the debates that can take place in the media space. Especially at a time when radicalism is continuing to weaken, we must foster a healthy dialogue within society. It is the very purpose behind the initiative we have introduced,” the Prime Minister explained.
