PM: Radical opposition is severely weakened; Saakashvili’s rift with his own allies stems from this

“The radical opposition, which in reality is not even an opposition but a network of foreign agents, is severely weakened, and any internal infighting is a manifestation of this compromised immunity and weakness; Saakashvili’s rift with his own teammates stems directly from this,” stated Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze during today’s press briefing.

As the head of government noted, the foreign network is severely weakened in Georgia.

“You know that the radical opposition, which in reality is not even an opposition, but a foreign network, is severely weakened, and any internal infighting is a manifestation of this compromised immunity and weakness. Saakashvili’s rift with his own teammates is naturally connected to this. Previously, the different parties within this foreign network clashed with one another; now, they are locked in active conflict even within their own party. All of this is, of course, a demonstration of weakness. The foreign network in Georgia is severely weakened. This is, among other things, the result of the Law on Transparency, as well as other legislative acts we have enacted over this period, and it is the outcome of our overall policy, which aims to safeguard Georgia’s sovereignty and independence firmly,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
