Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili arrived in Mestia, Svaneti, to engage in the Svanetoba festivity. As he addressed the locals, the PM emphasized the pride and courage of Svans, as well as Svaneti’s unique culture and history.
“The government will adequately pay back for this role and function,” he stated.
As Irakli Garibashvili explained, the government is committed to valuing the alpine population. For that, it adopted the Mountain Law several years ago, facilitating their participation in the country’s economies and producing wealth.
The PM pledged to finance more projects in Mestia. “We should exhibit this place to the whole world,” he said.
