PM on Ukraine negotiations: I hope negotiations lead to peace in Ukraine and region
“The primary goal for us is to establish peace in Ukraine,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the primary goal is to end the loss of lives in this devastating conflict.
“Ukraine is a friendly nation. Historically, the Ukrainian people are our friends, and the death toll is a tragedy that must be stopped. I sincerely hope these negotiations will finally lead to peace in Ukraine and the region.
For years, we have advocated for peace, while internal or external opponents have promoted war, sometimes overtly, other times subtly, encouraging conflict behind the scenes. Our position has always been clear: peace is paramount, and it has been proven that our stance was the only viable one,” Kobakhidze concluded.
