PM: Mzia Amaglobeli fulfilled the task — whether it was direct or indirect does not matter

“Mzia Amaglobeli fulfilled the task — whether it was direct or indirect does not matter. The foreign agents operating in Georgia were tasked with doing everything possible to undermine our law enforcement structures, which they failed to achieve,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the European Parliament’s decision to award the Sakharov Prize to Mzia Amaglobeli.

According to Kobakhidze, it represents encouragement of radicalism and crime.

“Yet, some people underestimate their own efforts, and this is what we are seeing now. This is encouragement of radicalism and crime, which is very regrettable. This decision reflects the difficult situation within European institutions and such developments are no longer surprising.” Kobakhidze said.
