PM meets US Assistant Secretary of State

Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili met US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Karen Donfried.

The US’s strong support for Georgia, strategic partnership-related issues and Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration were the main topics at the meeting.

The PM stressed that Georgia remains the most reliable and faithful ally of the US in the region. He reconfirmed the Georgian people’s unwavering desire to be a member of the European Union. The sides discussed military hostilities in Ukraine and Georgia’s role to ensure stability and peace in the region.

Karen Donfried arrived in Georgia as part of her South Caucasus regional tour.
