Today, at a meeting held in the government administration, the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze and the Ambassador of Germany, Peter Fischer, discussed the existing partnership and the positive momentum of bilateral relations between Georgia and Germany.
Their discussions encompassed the progress Georgia has made on its path towards integration into the European Union, with particular emphasis on Germany’s significant political support in granting Georgia the status of a candidate for EU membership. The Prime Minister reiterated the Georgian government’s unwavering commitment to European values.
Both parties highlighted the importance of the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to the Federal Republic of Germany in deepening bilateral relations and advancing existing cooperation across various sectors.
Irakli Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to the diplomat for Germany’s steadfast support of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-recognition policy.
