PM Kobakhidze: Whatever Deep State plots, past political mistakes must not breed public enmity
“Whatever the Deep State’s plot, we must not allow political disagreements, political errors committed in the past, or the Global War Party’s scheme to drag Georgia into war and open a second front against Russia to become a breeding ground for hostility between peoples,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a press briefing at the Government Administration.
According to him, maintaining ties between societies and fostering peaceful coexistence is infinitely more vital than any political expediency or specific strategy devised by informal oligarchic forces towards particular states.
“Prudence is especially paramount to ensure that interpersonal bonds between our peoples remain undamaged. We must remember that countless mixed families reside in Georgia and in Russia. Furthermore, a substantial Georgian diaspora lives in Russia, while numerous individuals of Russian origin reside in Georgia. Therefore, whatever the Deep State’s plot may be, we must not permit political disagreements, past political errors, or the Global War Party’s scheme to embroil Georgia in conflict and open a second front against Russia to serve as the basis for enmity between peoples. Preserving relationships between societies and ensuring peaceful coexistence are vastly more important than any political expediency or specific agenda pursued by informal oligarchic forces against individual nations,” Kobakhidze declared.
