PM Kobakhidze: There is no point crying over spilt milk; I would also like to remind Ambassador Herczynski that you don’t sing “Ole Ola” after losing an election
“There is no point crying over spilt milk; I would also like to remind Ambassador Herczynski that you don’t sing ‘Ole Ola’ after losing an election,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at a briefing today.
Irakli Kobakhidze responded to a journalist’s question: During the Europe Day celebrations held in Kakheti, we heard statements from the EU Ambassador, Pawel Herczynski, among others. We also saw a concert by the band ‘Gamouvali Mdgomareoba’. This band performs the very song that insulted the Georgian people. To what extent do Herczynski’s actions align with the role of a diplomat?
The Head of the Georgian Government asserted that the EU Ambassador had repeatedly violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations during recent public engagements in Kakheti.
“I would like to recall an old saying: there is no point crying over spilt milk. I would also like to remind Mr Herczynski that you don’t sing ‘Ole Ola’ after losing an election. That is my message to him,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
