“It is a highly regrettable and tragic development that a former prime minister has lowered himself to the level of a blogger for an obscure tabloid,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Batumi.

Commenting on Garibashvili’s recent letters, Kobakhidze described them as both “farcical and tragic”.

“The only thing I can say regarding these letters is that it is laughable and tragic. I will not delve any deeper, as this individual held the office of prime minister before me, and institutional respect restrains me from offering a substantive commentary on these letters. Furthermore, the content of these letters is so completely devoid of seriousness that it precludes any formal commentary.

Whoever is disseminating such fabrications stands behind them. This is no secret; it has been easily exposed. There are forces involved that do not enjoy a particularly good reputation, and it is most regrettable that a specific media outlet is involved. It is a deeply regrettable and tragic spectacle that a former prime minister has lowered himself to the level of a blogger for an obscure tabloid,” the Prime Minister declared.
