PM Kobakhidze: NBG replenishes reserves with record $141 million in January, bringing total assets to $6.3 billion
“In January, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) replenished reserves with an additional 141 million dollars, setting another record,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at today’s government session.
As the Head of Government highlighted, reserve assets now totalled USD 6.3 billion.
“We have made significant progress in building our international reserve assets, and the replenishment of our foreign exchange and other reserve assets continued throughout January. The National Bank added a further USD 141 million to its reserves, marking yet another record. Overall, our reserve assets have now reached USD 6.3 billion.
I would like to express my gratitude to the National Bank for its dedicated efforts. My thanks go to the NBG President, the management, the members of the Board, and everyone involved for their hard work,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
