Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, met Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the Government of Georgia, at the meeting held in Turkmenistan within the framework of the global forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the parties discussed the political and economic ties between the two countries, as well as successful cooperation across various fields.
Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to deepen bilateral relations.
“We attach special importance to cooperation among the countries of our region. Economic cooperation is particularly important.
The close relationship between our countries has tremendous potential, and it is in our interest to make full use of the available potential. Your special attention to this matter also has a positive impact on cooperation between our countries,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasised the prospects for the further development of bilateral relations.
“We greatly value Georgia and consider it a very important partner for us in many areas. Georgia is a partner with great prospects and strong potential in the fields of transport and logistics. This direction is a driving force in the current period and has a major impact on other sectors as well.
Our cooperation and partnership will develop even further in the future, and communication will be strengthened for this purpose. This applies to both the political and economic dimensions,” stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
