PM Kobakhidze leads gov’t commission to develop higher education reform concept
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze chaired a meeting of the government commission established to reform the higher education system.
The meeting addressed challenges such as infrastructure deficiencies and the quality of education. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of transforming the university education system, stating that the commission will develop a comprehensive concept for this reform.
Kobakhidze expressed confidence that, by 2028, infrastructure issues within universities, alongside improvements in teaching and research quality, would be resolved.
Commission members noted that all available resources must be utilized to establish a qualitatively enhanced system within four years, enabling Georgian students to access European-quality higher education in Georgia.
