PM Kobakhidze holds closed-door talks with Georgian Technical University rector and professors

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is currently meeting with the rector and faculty members of the Georgian Technical University (TSU).

The discussion is taking place in the government administration building, behind closed doors.

The focal point of the meeting is the decision made as part of the education reform regarding the proposed unification of Tbilisi State University and the Georgian Technical University.

The rector of the Georgian Technical University, David Gurgenidze, briefly addressed the media ahead of the meeting.

“We are going to the Prime Minister for a dialogue. We will present the decision made by the Academic Council concerning the classification of engineering disciplines. We will discuss the matter, and afterwards, we will share the outcome of our deliberations,” Gurgenidze told reporters.
