PM Kobakhidze: BBC story is cheap attempt to fabricate scandal that fell flat in one day

“The BBC report is a cheap attempt to create a scandal that failed within a day. The public is fully aware that there were no referrals to clinics,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to the Prime Minister, on April 9, when a specific substance was used, the number of referrals to clinics was substantial, and patients’ treatment continued over an extended period.

“The BBC report is a cheap attempt to create a scandal that failed within a day. The public is fully aware that there were no referrals to clinics. Do you remember, on April 9, when that particular substance was used, how many referrals there were, and how long patients’ treatments lasted? There was not even a hint of an issue. You are deliberately trying to stir up a scandal where none exists. Your television stations have reached a point where even parrots have lost their feathers. Your cheap attempt to incite a scandal looks very poor indeed,” the Prime Minister stated.
