PM issues decree on appointment of ministers

Georgia’s new Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, issued a decree on the appointment of ministers, the Government Administration reported.

From this moment, all ministers will assume their duties. The Cabinet has a new Defense Minister, Irakli Chikovani. Other ministers retained their posts.

Eighty-four legislators backed Irakli Kobakhidze and his new government while ten voted against them in the February 8 vote.
