PM holds working meeting with economic team

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili held a working meeting with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili and his deputies.

The PM discussed Anaklia deep water port project, which is a priority for the Georgian government and will be built together with a private investor.

Garibashvili remarked that 51% of shares will be owned by the states, while a tender would be announced on the rest of 49%.

The sides also spoke about South Caucasus – South-East Europe linking Black Sea electricity cable historic project, which will ensure high-quality communication between Romania and Georgia. The project will ensure energy security in the region and boost transit opportunities.

The PM and the economic team also discussed other current and planned large-scale energy projects.
