“The work undertaken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia across various sectors is of great significance; migration is also a key area,” stated the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, during his interpellation speech in Parliament.

The Head of Government expressed his gratitude to Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze for the dedication and achievements of the Ministry under his leadership in recent months.

“The results are truly remarkable across multiple domains. This includes, notably, the fight against organised crime and drug-related offences. Today, 97 individuals were apprehended specifically on charges of organised crime and drug offences. Drug crime, in particular, remains a serious issue that poses a significant threat to our country. The progress we have made over the past months gives us real grounds for optimism that we will see tangible, positive changes in this area. Once again, I thank the Minister of Internal Affairs for his dedicated work,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Irakli Kobakhidze also highlighted that the recent achievements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the field of migration are equally impressive.
