PM highlights peace, stability, economic development as main goals at SPECA Forum

During the SPECA economic forum in Baku, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili emphasized that the government’s primary goal is maintaining peace, ensuring stability, and promoting economic development.

According to him, despite the regional and global security challenges, the Georgian government has achieved these goals through pragmatic, thoughtful foreign policy and sound economic decisions.

“Georgia’s economy grew by 10% in recent years, with over 10% growth in 2021-2022 and 7% in the current period. Inflation is low, at less than one per cent. The per capita GDP is expected to exceed $8,000 by the end of the year, doubling in the last three years. In 2024, GDP per capita is projected to be more than $8,500. Additionally, Georgia’s international reserves reached a historic maximum in July of the current year, while unemployment and poverty have reached historically low levels,” PM declared.
