PM: Georgia stands firmly with Ukrainian people

“Georgia stands firmly side-by-side with the friendly Ukrainian people, which is expressed not only by words but also by strong political and humanitarian support,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze wrote on Facebook.

According to the PM, Russian aggression claimed the lives of tens of thousands of Ukrainians, among them hundreds of children, left over 10 million as refugees, and destroyed the country’s economy and infrastructure. The 20% of Ukraine’s territory is occupied.

“The war brings casualties and destruction every day, and it must end. Georgia firmly stands side-by-side with the friendly Ukrainian people, which is expressed not only by words but also by strong political and humanitarian support. I wish our friendly Ukrainian people peace, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the PM said.
