PM: Georgia signs agreement with French Groupe ADP on expansion of Tbilisi International Airport

“Today is a very important day. We are signing an agreement with the French company Groupe ADP on the expansion of Tbilisi International Airport,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze stated during the presentation of the Tbilisi International Airport expansion project.

According to the Prime Minister, the project envisages an investment of USD 150 million, which will increase passenger capacity, continuously improve service quality, create a comfortable and safe environment for passengers, ensure fast and efficient operational processes, and introduce a modern passenger experience in line with international standards.

“As part of the agreement, TAV, a company owned by Groupe ADP, will continue managing Tbilisi International Airport for an additional five years, until the end of 2031, coinciding with the completion of the new Tbilisi International Airport in Vaziani. The USD 150 million investment will significantly increase the airport’s throughput while substantially improving the quality of passenger services. This investment will lead to increased passenger traffic, ongoing service enhancement, the creation of a comfortable and safe environment, efficient operational processes, and the introduction of a modern, international-standard passenger experience.

I would like to express my special gratitude to our foreign partners — Groupe ADP and TAV — for their many years of fruitful cooperation in the development of Georgia’s airport infrastructure,” the Prime Minister said.
