PM: Georgia implements effective policies to prevent int'l sanction circumvention, getting positive evaluations from USA, EU, and UK

“Georgia implemented effective policies to prevent sanctions circumvention in its territory, receiving positive evaluations from the USA, EU, and UK,” stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his annual report to the parliament.

The PM remarked that a trilateral mission arrived in Georgia staffed by US, EU and UK high-ranks, which assessed the Georgian government’s efforts positively.

“With the cooperation of our European and American partners, we monitored 50 high-profile goods and reported regularly. In this period, we made 1898 decisions to refuse customs operations to send goods to different countries,” he said, adding the government would continue to act with “the same spirit.”
