Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Beatrice Buffon, French electric utility company EDF’s Vice President in charge of the International Division.
According to the government’s press office, the meeting covered Georgia’s reliable and favorable business environment, as well as the country’s potential in the energy sector.
The Prime Minister emphasized concrete steps taken toward the development of the energy sector. The importance of a modern, transparent, and competitive energy market was also underscored.
EDF expressed readiness to invest in Georgia’s renewable energy sphere, mostly HPPs, and also taking an interest in wind and solar projects.
