PM expresses condolence over Deputy Mayor’s death

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed deep sorrow over death of Ilia Eloshvili, Tbilisi Deputy Mayor.  He condoled to Eloshvili’s family members, relatives and colleagues.

“Ilia was an extinguished public official, great patriot and professional who always stood next to the citizens. His passing away is a big loss for the city, country, relatives and friends,” the PM said.

Ilia Eloshvili, 47, Tbilisi Deputy Mayor, was found dead at his home in Tbilisi three days ago.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) launched an investigation into Eloshvili’s death under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates incitement to suicide.
