PM: Everyone should respect Georgia's sovereignty, independence, peace and security in our country

“Jeffrey Sachs is a true intellectual and he is independent in analyzing the processes related to our country’s development. Therefore, he is objective in his assessments,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian reporters in Antalya, Turkiye.

According to the PM, Jeffrey Sachs respects Georgia’s independence and sovereignty.

“Jeffrey Sachs respects our country’s independence, and sovereignty and says that politicians should take the same attitude towards our country. These are our messages – Everyone should respect Georgia’s sovereignty, independence, peace and security in our country, these are our key interests. These are the Georgian people’s core interests and everyone should take into account the Georgian people’s interests,” he said.

Jeffrey Sachs, professor at Columbia University and director of the Center for Sustainable Development told Georgian journalists in Antalya that European and American politicians should give up meddling in Georgian politics and that influence and advice would not bring any benefit.
