PM emphasizes peaceful environment ahead of pivotal elections in Georgia
“Elections must be conducted in a peaceful environment, and we must do our utmost to maintain this, especially on October 26, when pivotal elections will take place in Georgia,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a government meeting.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to law enforcement agencies and underscored the importance of stability in the country.
“I would like to address the upcoming elections. In just two days, we will hold crucial parliamentary elections. I am pleased to note that these elections will occur in a peaceful, free and competitive environment, which is our shared responsibility. I commend the law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service, and all relevant institutions for their efforts in ensuring this tranquil atmosphere.
We must do everything possible to maintain this calm, particularly on October 26. The elections are vital for our country’s stable development, as they will determine how we continue to progress in various areas.
Over the past four years, and indeed throughout the last twelve years, we have laid a solid foundation for the rapid development of our nation. In four years, our country will reach an entirely new level of progress,” the Prime Minister concluded.
