PM: Deep State’s stoking of Russophobia is artificial scheme designed to deepen hatred, collapse economic ties, and escalate tensions

“Following the instructions of the Deep State, its network of agents welcomed Russian tourists at the border back in 2008, right after Russia occupied Georgian territories and recognised Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia as independent states, welcomed Russian investments in strategic sectors of the Georgian economy, and unilaterally abolished visa requirements for Russian citizens,” stated Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze during a press briefing at the Government Administration.

According to him, the current stoking of Russophobic sentiments in Georgia by the Deep State’s agents is, in line with their directives, an entirely artificial process.

“It is clear that, acting on the instructions of the Deep State, the stoking of Russophobic sentiments in Georgia by its agents today is an artificial process designed to culminate in the extreme exacerbation of inter-ethnic hatred, the collapse of economic ties, and the maximum escalation of the situation. Therefore, despite the flawed policies of the United National Movement regime and the Russian government, which remain political issues to be addressed by politicians and state institutions, both Georgian and Russian societies must exercise utmost prudence so as not to act, intentionally or otherwise, in the interests of the Global War Party,” noted the Prime Minister.
