PM congratulates Patriarch on his jubilee

Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II turned 90 years old today. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili wished happy birthday to the Patriarch in his statement.

The PM said “his contribution to the country and motherland is tremendous, as is the sincere sense of respect and affection toward him in our society.”

In his Facebook post, Garibashvili went on to say that “His Holiness, for almost half a century, has filled us with warmth and love as a symbol of the nation’s unity, and with his generosity, calmness, and knowledge, he is a great hope and support for all of us.”
